Offering specific online SEO services is also another online freelancer role that businesses are crying out for. If you know how to improve a website’s SEO by doing keyword research, creating content that can rank in search engines, adding metadata / schema to posts and pages, and building backlinks to a domain, to name a few tasks, then this could be a great line of work for you.

You can also do a good bit of reselling on Craigslist. If you know a lot about certain items (like sporting goods or shoes), you can pick up a real steal on Craigslist and turn around and resell it for what it’s truly worth. The other great opportunity on Craigslist is the “free stuff” section. Often these free items have some value; if you can pick them up and resell them on Craigslist or elsewhere, that’s almost pure profit.

Make crafts to sell. If you’re good with your hands and you enjoy art class, try making your own crafts that you can sell online. You can make friendship bracelets, beaded jewelry, origami, or silk-screened T-shirts, depending on the equipment you have and how much money you have upfront to pay for materials. Start by advertising your new storefront and crafts on your personal social media and by word of mouth to friends and family.

If you're serious about making money online, start a blog. Blogging is one of the easiest and most sustainable income sources. As long as the blog is setup the right way, in the right niche, with the right content targeted at the right audience, and the offer is complementary to the content, you could make a tremendous amount of passive income from a blog.
My conversion rate went from 2.5% to 8% just by including Facebook polls where SiteGround was rated #1 (here’s last year’s poll) plus Twitter screenshots and Facebook conversations. Whether it’s Amazon reviews or social proof, you NEED to include outside opinions. You can also use WP Rich Snippets to allow people to leave a review about the product/service on your site and get those review stars in Google (you will want to use their front end submit add-on).
Providing a service may be the easiest way to start because you don’t need any investment to get this going. My podcast editor Ian Robinson is helping podcast creators edit their shows to increase production value. There are many different ways to provide a service and it’s just about realizing where your talent lies and what solution you can provide for others.
Robert said he did an average of 4-6 of these gigs per year for a while depending on his schedule and the work involved. The best part is, he charged a flat rate that usually worked out to around $100 per hour. And remember, this was pay he was earning to advise people on the best ways to use social media tools like Facebook and Pinterest to grow their brands.

How to make money selling websites - A domain is just a website address for instance ‘Google.com’ or ‘yourownsite.com,’ and there are many extensions like .com, .org, .net. You can easily buy domain names within $3 to $5 through GoDaddy.com or 123-reg.co.uk, and you can easily fetch $1000 if not $100,000 when you sold them. The trick is to find the commercial value domain names which are available and list them on sites like GoDaddy or Sedo.

Brokering an online service is a money-making idea I’ve personally had experience with. In my endeavor, I used contractors that I trusted for website designs. I found clients via Upwork, would use the contractors’ services to create the design, put finishing touches on the work they turned in and turned it over to the client. This worked well because my background in copywriting and conversion rate optimization perfectly supplemented website design.

Getting businesses to advertise on your podcast, either at the beginning or end, or both, is a great way to create a revenue through podcasts. Most businesses won’t be keen to advertise on your podcast until you can prove a large number of listeners. Therefore, it is unlikely you will be able to start out from the get-go with sponsors. But once you accumulate regular listeners, or a high number of downloads from iTunes, you can start to sell advertising space on your podcasts.
Has anyone ever told you you have a voice for radio? Are you great at creating original characters with just your voice? There are tons of people looking to pay for quality voice overs for their corporate videos, animation series, or educational videos. Rose and others looking for employment this summer: Retry the babysitting idea. Summer is a good time to babysit. Maybe volunteer a few times first and then use those families as references. Tell everyone you know that you are available to babysit. Use email, Facebook, fliers, word of mouth. Also try offering a set time every week, like Tuesday evenings form 5-9 pm in your home. Parents know they can drop off their children without calling ahead. They really appreciate that. It takes time and persistence to get the word out, butit can be done!

As many of you know, I am a big believer in the power of personal development work. If you want to be the best, you need to learn from the best. Take an online course, watch YouTube videos, go to seminars, or research and review successful affiliate blogs. By investing the time and energy into building your skills, and doing the hard work to master the game, you will set yourself up for success much faster.
One of the cool things about Google AdSense is that it's so easy to get set up. If you have a blog or website, you can sign up for a free Google AdSense Account. From there, Google will give you a unique code that you will paste onto your website. Google takes it from there, tracking your page views, traffic, and earnings on your behalf. There is no upkeep or maintenance to get this thing going, which makes it a no-brainer if you have a website already.
At the time, I had a ton of people reaching out wanting to hire me (I ranked my self #1 in Google for WordPress SEO Consultant, WordPress SEO Expert, many other good keywords). Unfortunately I struggled with basic things you need to run a service-based business… keeping track of clients, time management, and making sure I was charging clients for my time (and getting them to create content which often seemed impossible).
Some websites pay for performance based on page views for virtually anything you want to write about if you have the proven experience and background to cover your beat. Many companies are looking for part-time bloggers to help them create high-value blog posts for their websites—thus, the opportunity for those who have a knack for writing compelling content. Most clients pay per post or on a retainer contract with a set number of posts delivered per month.
While I think that your initial response to Phillip’s suggestion about design was a little too strong, Dasjung, I’ve got to chime in here and observe that Phil, ThunderCock and Dumbass, by resorting to name calling and simplistic reasoning, come across as very lacking in both decorum and sensitivity.  If a guy wants to expect, even demand, high quality in his field of choice, I beleive he has a right, if not a responsibility, to do so!  Also, Dumbass, be careful who you call Dumbass. You just show YOUR true colors by doing so.

I want to do an “inspirational” post to help newbies see that affiliate marketing is a long-range game plan, not a “get rich quick” scheme. Looking for those willing to share how long it took to get the first affiliate sale and a bit of insight into how you did it. Of course, your name and your website/blog link will be included. You can share it here, or email me.

I have not personally done this but I would like to eventually. If you are artistic you could make artwork or handmade good such as ornaments, wallets, or jewlery and sell them online. Something that I personally would like to do is design T-shirts and sell them. Shop for anything from creative people everywhere is a great site and I have bought many things from them. If you make quality products and get your name out through Facebook or other social media you could get a substantial business going.
