Once you’ve had children, many parents find themselves caught in the trap of needing to work but wanting to stay home with their kids. Creating your own parenting blog can not only be a way to make some money, it can also help you connect with other parents and make sense of those crazy sleepless early parenting years (it does get easier don’t worry!)

If you're one who gets As on your English papers and your friends approach you to proofread their essays, a proofreading or editing gig might be just the part-time job for you. If you're into grammar and syntax, it's no surprise to you that there are many, many adults who don't know how to use the English language to its highest potential. Some of them own businesses or go to college. These are the people you want to market your services to.
5. Fiverr – Fiverr is a great place to make a few bucks or spend a few bucks if you need some of the services people offer. Basically, everything is $5. You either pay $5 or charge $5. They call them “gigs.” You can offer your services however you choose. If you sell art and you’re fine selling pieces for $5 each, that’s a gig. If you’re a graphic designer and you want to offer your services for $10/hour, simply offer a 30 minute gig. If they need two hours of graphic design, they pay you $20, or $10/hour by buying four gigs.
Now, if you don’t know people who might want your coaching services, there are a number of online tools and communities that make it incredibly easy to find clients and teach, on just about any topic area you can think of. Community driven platforms like Savvy.is, Clarity.fm, and Coach.me provide you with a network of potential clients to interact with, as well an integrated payment solution.
This is the easiest way to gain experience because you get exposed to other affiliates. You can meet people by joining a discussion forum or an online community. The good thing is that they are free to join and you get very good advice there. Examples of such online communities are ABestWeb, Digital Point, and Warrior Forum. Apart from getting advice from more experienced affiliates, you get the chance to network with other marketers.
Become a busser at a restaurant. While most restaurants require servers and bar staff to be over 18 or 21 years old, many do hire teenagers as bussers, food runners, or delivery drivers. In these jobs, you have less interaction with the customers, but you gain valuable experience in the restaurant industry and often receive a cut of the servers’ tips. It’s also a physically demanding job as you should expect to be on your feet for the duration of a shift, so keep in mind any mobility issues you may have.
When it comes to money-making opportunities on YouTube, the cliche is, of course, the video game streamer. If you are a gamer, you're probably familiar with PewDiePie, the Swedish YouTuber who features various video games. While gamers are popular on YouTube (and even more so on Twitch), there are a lot of them, so if that's your art form, you're going to need to be competitive.
Banners – after testing them out I decided to take down my banner ads since they looked salesy and weren’t working like my affiliate links did. They’re easy to throw up, but distracting and probably won’t get great results. If you try them, be sure to show specific sidebar banners based on the type of content people are reading on your blog (for posts that fall under my SEO category I would show a banner related to SEO, and for posts under my website speed category I would show a different banner). You can do this using a plugin like Widget Logic.
If you love animals and live in an urban area then consider this a viable job opportunity. Here's the problem you might try to solve with this idea: people are busy going to work each day and they have to leave their sweet dog at home. Dogs don't do well over long periods of time by themselves.  They like to be around you and me. Offering to walk a group of dogs once or twice a day, if you have the flexibility, can really rake in some extra money if you're doing this on a weekly basis and have several clients.  Think premium dog walking service: treats, playtime, the works. Obviously, you have to find the right clientele where this service makes sense.

Find an audience for your passion or hobby and you’re all set to make money online doing something you love via a niche website. That of course, is easier said than done. Creating a profitable niche website takes time and is not intended for the faint of heart. But, if you can hurdle the steep challenges and positively answer a few key questions on whether the website business idea you’re thinking about is profitable, then you can begin building it and eventually monetize through advertising, affiliates, or other relevant products.
Are you seeing the possibilities here?  Think about what book, or series of books you could write to help people in your field of expertise?  You might start with an eBook offered on your own website that covers the basics.  Use the eBook as an opportunity to tell people about your more in-depth book on Amazon and finally, follow through with an advanced book offering.
If you have a fondness and talent for taking pictures you can make extra money online by becoming a stock photographer and selling your images to a stock photo company like ShutterStock or iStockPhoto. You’ll get royalties every time someone licenses an image you’ve submitted. To really be successful, build your own photography website to be able to showcase your portfolio and start getting higher-paid private corporate work.
This has become a popular business model for online entrepreneurs over the past several years, and will probably just continue to grow in popularity. The best thing about selling online courses is that once you do the up-front work in creating the course and setting up your marketing strategy, you can get paid over and over again for work you do once.
Freelancing requires you to have a specialized skill set, but if you’re interested or you’ve already some experience in any of these areas, it might be a great way for you to start working from home. There’s the opportunity to make a good amount of money through freelancing, if you take it seriously and find the types of services you enjoy offering.
Next, you’ll need the right tools. You can be as complicated or simple as you want depending on your comfort with audio equipment, but at the minimum you’ll want a microphone and software for recording your voice. Companies like Behringer, Blue, Focusrite, and others sell studio-quality plug-and-play podcast setups that can get you recording today.
How to make money selling websites - A domain is just a website address for instance ‘Google.com’ or ‘yourownsite.com,’ and there are many extensions like .com, .org, .net. You can easily buy domain names within $3 to $5 through GoDaddy.com or 123-reg.co.uk, and you can easily fetch $1000 if not $100,000 when you sold them. The trick is to find the commercial value domain names which are available and list them on sites like GoDaddy or Sedo.

Creating a video series and selling it as a digital download on your blog, much like an eBook, can be another great seller. A video course, teaching viewers a specific skill or how to achieve a particular activity, may well resonate with your audience. If you are going to go down this route then your videos need to be as professional as possible so you should consider investing in some video and lighting equipment, as well as editing software.

I just made my first affiliate commission sale! … So I’m a little over a month into my affiliate empire building. … Right out of the gate I built 5 affiliate niche websites. … It’s been kinda tough getting that site to rank high enough to get Google traffic, but … After that, through talking with Dan, and through the direct access I get with Deadbeat University, I built 4 different sites around things that I like or am interested in.
Using several strategies for product promotion is a very good idea because it gives you the opportunity to know which of them works better. You can do split testing and measure each campaign’s performance before taking the appropriate action. Changing a couple things would raise your profit. Banner ads should be placed on different areas on the pages of your site because there are some strategic points that will catch your reader’s attention.
Write pitches. If you have located a client for whom you want to write, send pitches, which are topic ideas for articles. Write pitches that not only show your expertise, but also demonstrate your enthusiasm for the topic.[21] First, read the publication to which you are sending pitches to familiarize yourself with what they publish. If applicable, identify a specific section and send our pitch to the appropriate editor. Also, include a brief summary of who you are.[22]

Create a website. In order to work as an affiliate marketer, you'll need your own platform (a personal website or blog) on which to post links and advertise for your chosen products or services. If you already have a website or blog, you can use that platform to begin earning additional income as an affiliate marketer. If you do not yet have a website or blog, you will need to create one.

Hello Philip–good list but  most of the activities are so cliche and yet more creativity could be better employed here…this would make me work more hours for a little more pay and still keep me in the debt circle for so long. it would require me to worker harder so that i can make more money and yet am at the point where i want my money make more money with me getting less actively/ physically involved. Some call it ‘Working Smart’ unlike traditional options that have often helped many to stay afloat without helping them soar to financial growth and prosperity. Thanks though
About the list, this is extremely helpful. I know some coaches who are already earning a lot of money and would choose to get paid for the information that they know but you, you choose to share it to everybody else free of charge. Be a proud brethren of Christ because this is his very attitude. I say this is an act of love. May it be returned to you and your family a million fold.
You’re absolutely right about that time. Never give up. Content marketing is a hard job but you got to look at it like this. The internet and side hustles are here to stay. It goes Way Beyond making money online. We both know there’s no more traditional job security in America today. These narcissist employers are nothing nice. They will hire you 1 minute. Harass you on the job. Steal your commissions and laugh at you behind your back while you continually work hard and put more money in their pocket, then try to enslave you into making more money for them and continually disrespect you to your face. This is the Ironclad indicated it’s time to walk away and start your own business online by working part time on your side hustle weather to Philly at marketing, blogging, or selling your own product service online. There’s billions of dollars to be made in the affiliate marketing industry. With that said, it’s a good thing to know the side hustle is here to stay to those who dedicate themselves to creating quality content on blogs and websites and taking a side hustle to the public nightstep. Agree? :-)
Let’s give you an example to get you up to speed. Let’s say you’ve started a blog focused on snowboarding. You have a blog about the sport where you discuss industry news and trends and review new products. Or maybe you simply have an e-commerce website where you have all sorts of snowboarding-related products for sale like snowboards, helmets, gloves, jackets, pants, boots, goggles, instructional videos, the works.
From there, results vary over time. Successful affiliate sites are updated regularly, have a clear focus that excites visitors, provide lots of useful content, and many affiliates find the their highest referrals when they invest in advertising as well. I generally write one 1,000 word article per day (minimum of 5 per week) on new sites and it usually takes at least 6 months before I earn my first cent. Most of my sites don’t start earning the ‘job quitting income’ until a couple years after I start them. You can learn more about how long it takes to succeed in affiliate marketing here.
Some churches don't have volunteers for their music. A talented pianist, guitar player, etc. can make pretty good money doing this on the weekends.  Most churches offer tryouts on occasion.  This idea is pretty easy to get started in that you just need to reach out to your worship pastor or someone in that ministry and let them know you have the talent and some experience.  Don't be shy!
Etsy: While Etsy's popularity has declined recently, it's still a great resource for selling handmade items online. No need for complex ecommerce sites or merchant accounts or any sort of automation. The company takes a commission of every sale and charges a small listing fee per item. But many still use Etsy as their primary source of income. The best part is that you can also sell digital products on here such as poster designs.
Designing web logos obviously isn't for everyone.  It will help you quite a bit if you've got some background in graphic design or if you're relatively proficient in design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, and Adobe Illustrator or other like products.  You don't necessarily have to have a degree in graphic arts, as long as you're able to put together eye-pleasing designs that others will love and pay for.

If you already have a website or blog, look for vendors that offer related but noncompeting products and see if they have an affiliate program. Stick to familiar products and brands—they're easier to sell. For promotion, place simple text or graphics-based ads in appropriate places on your site; you can review or recommend products or create a dedicated sales page or website to promote a particular product.

People need your help and they will pay you for it. Seriously. The jobs are there on Craigslist.org, your neighborhood your church and many more places. Traditional job search sites can be oversaturated with applicants but non-traditional places, as mentioned, can provide you a means for earning some extra income. You just have to be a go-getter and get hungry to find them. Probably the best place to work for odd jobs to work is on the app TaskRabbit.
Start a YouTube channel. You can earn money from uploading videos on free services like YouTube because of the advertisements it plays before and during popular content. While there are millions of users and competing channels, don’t get discouraged before you try it out! After all, many of the most successful YouTube stars started out as teenagers looking to make a few extra bucks while having some fun. Just make sure that you keep your parents abreast of what content you're putting up and have them help you handle user comments in order to stay safe.[12]
