#12 – Put a “Donate” button on your blog or website – A lot of people don't feel comfortable doing this, but there is really nothing wrong with accepting donations if you run a blog or website. Many people do it. You can look at it as a way of allowing “tips” for your helpful content. Again, this works best if your site gets a fair amount of traffic. And you should make sure your button is in a visible place.

There are quite literally hundreds of clever ways to make money online. From taking online surveys, to renting or selling your old clothes, flipping your iPhone to someone in a different country, and even buying low-cost products locally, just to resell them for a higher price on Amazon. There’s truly no shortage of unique ways to make money online.

Write e-books. Price Waterhouse Cooper predicts that revenue from e-book sales in the United States will grow from $2.31 billion in 2011 to $8.69 billion in 2018.[6] That’s an increase of 276 percent. Since the popularity of e-books is increasing so significantly, consider using this type of media to connect with your customers. Content marketers create self-published titles on platforms like Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing and make them available for free. E-books can help you generate sales leads, educate customers about you and your products, build your brand and offer valuable information to your target audience.[7]
If you’re a skilled worker in a specific niche, like marketing, design, or software development, there are specialty marketplaces that cater just to you. These are amazing places to make money online as you know that the people visiting them are looking specifically for the skills you have. Check out places like 99Designs or Dribbble for designers, Cloudpeeps for marketing and SEO professionals, and TopTal, Crew, or Gigster for high-level software developers. Once you've built up your development skills, you can begin building a brand for yourself as a higher-value consultant and start charging brands for larger projects like implementing an entire WordPress security overhaul or migrating a website from http to https.
If you're a writer and want to get your work out there, you can self-publish on Amazon. With Kindle Direct Publishing, you can earn up to 70 percent of royalties on your e-books while also having the freedom to set your own prices. There is also an option available to go through Create Space which allows your inventory to be produced on-demand as customers order so there is no upfront inventory investment.
You can get all of this separately, which is going to be trial and error. Or if you want to do affiliate marketing, you can get everything you need under ONE roof over at Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to start out and 49 bucks per month to get literally everything you need to build and grow your affiliate business, except the cost of a domain name which is about 14 bucks per year.
Fiverr: Israeli-based Fivver was started in 2010 by Shal Wininger and Micha Kaufam. It's a great resource for selling just about any service online. You can offer gigs as low as $5 but also get paid much more for upgrades and add-ons. There are plenty of providers earning 6 figures on Fiverr so it's definitely a worthwhile cause for generating a healthy income. Just ensure that you provide some serious value.

This is something that is fairly easy to learn and also in high demand. On Windows, one good program to edit audio is Sony Sound Forge. I use Sound Forge Audio Studio, but if you are doing this professionally, you might consider the upgrade to Sound Forge 9. Get the hang of editing out “um”s and “ah”s from audio. Even better is understanding the “flow” of an interview conversation and editing out portions that don’t make sense. Finally, learning to find and add intro music really gives podcasts that professional touch. Advertise your services on oDesk or eLance. I pay people to do this for the podcasts I am setting up on Inspiring Innovators, and it’s a job that can definitely be done from your house.
Very interesting post. I am saving this page for future reference. I personally liked tip #9. I know some people who try to locate themselves in niches that sell high valued products only and they do not make enough sales, consequently low commission as well. It’s better to target those items that sell quickly first, where people do not do a lot of thinking and research before buying.
I don’t suggest this lightly. This is actually how I personally started making a fair amount of cash on the Internet years ago, so I know that it works. It does take work — traveling to antiques, carrying stuff around, photographing Selling Online? Make Sure Your Photos Sell Your Goods Selling Online? Make Sure Your Photos Sell Your Goods How many times have you bought something second-hand in a shop without properly inspecting it first? Any answer other than "never" means you're doing it wrong, and the same is true for Internet sales too.... Most of the virtual income opportunities I’ve discussed in this article are focused on older kids, usually teens, who are now pros at games like Halo or World of Warcraft. But, what about those little ones who’ve grown tired of their Webkinz account (or should we say their Webkinz mansion) that they’ve spent several years building up. You’ve spent lots of cash buying those little stuffed animals and collecting codes, and your little kid spent hours playing games and collecting cool Webkinz items for their Webkinz home. Is there a way for your child to rake in a little cash for all of that effort? You bet there is – help them sell their Webkinz home.
You don’t necessarily need a website to display Adsense ads. There are forums and Q&A websites that will allow you to put up your own Adsense ads. This can be risky because Google has strict terms of service and will ban your Adsense account for even the smallest infraction. This risk can be reduced on your own site because you’re in 100% control. But on someone else’s site you have less control.

Gateway to private label products – Truth be told, you likely won't earn as much in retail arbitrage as you would selling your own products. At best, this approach is a great way to acquaint yourself with how to sell products on Amazon. Ultimately, you will want to earn more, which will encourage you to move away from this method to a more profitable one.
As we’ve already covered, completing online surveys for a range of companies earns you points on Opinion Outpost. You can use these points on gift cards to a range of top companies, but if you want the versatility that cold hard cash offers then Paypal is the way to go. That way you can spend your hard-earned money on whatever you choose. There’s nothing worse than being misled by survey companies seeking to take advantage of you without rewarding you for your efforts. Luckily, your rewards are easily accessible here and you don’t have to jump through hoops to get what you’re entitled to.

There are all kinds of marketing strategies revolving around affiliate marketing, and these are far and away the most legitimate way to make money by posting ads. You’ll need to study up on the ad platforms you’re using, though — it’s not just something you can sit down and start doing in 10 minutes and then turn around and start making tons of money. (You can get ads set up pretty quickly — they just won’t convert very well if you don’t know what you’re doing.)

Network with colleagues and arrange to trade links and advertising on each others' websites or blogs. Create a news release about newsworthy items such as a new product release. Send the release to online media relating to your product or service such as the online local newspapers, interest-focused magazines and blogs, and trade publications. Write an article about your area of expertise and submit it to sites that cover your industry. Arrange for a link to your website and your email to appear along with the articles and news releases. Potential customers can click through to your site or email you, creating an opportunity to add a client.
You can also find work as a virtual assistant or remote admin that involves posting and monitoring ads for the person or company hiring you. This will look a lot more like a typical gig, though, and not like a scammy-feeling ad posted on a job board. You’ll need some experience with digital marketing, but once you learn the key benchmarks and factors that go into setting up a digital ad, offering an “ad monitoring” service would be a fairly easy but very valuable service for you to offer your clients.
I hired David from Web Geek 4 Hire to upgrade my blogs and install new WordPress plugins. He charges $5 to upgrade a plugin…great for him, since most plugins only take a few minutes to upgrade, and great for me, since if anything breaks, David gets to clean up the mess! You can make this a full time position; there is a ton of demand for these services. Find customers by contacting bloggers directly. Get references from bloggers who understand the value of outsourcing these tasks.
Find your niche partners, collaborators, and champions: As you’re creating your course, look for notable people who are also creating content in the space. Look att how their businesses operate and incorporate that into your own plan. You can also reach out to any influencers and make them affiliates for your own course. This way, they’ll be incentivized to share your content with their own audiences (which can be a major way to generate your first sales—it helps if you're using one of the best CRMs for small business—and start building your own community!)
Thanks a lot for those tips. I bought your course but found that the module for finding a niche cannot be easily applied for the following reasons: 1) domain (com, net, org) that match exact keywords are almost taken by someone else; 2) even if you can find an exact match keyword domain, changes are there are other competitors building similar niche review sites, simply adding good quality articles and build links with some social book marking do not seem to work well; 3) can you elaborate in details how to do the SEO for a specific niche using real exams (e.g., if you say social bookmarking, can you tell us how to find those sites or even provide a list of sites; if you use blog comments, can you walk thru the process to find good quality blog that accept comments with “do follow” etc
I am not tech savvy, but I would like to open a website which allows me to sell my art and provide online classes for a fee as well as e-projects. Could you provide suggestions as to how to go about achieving my goals? Domain, hosting, how to obtain a commission from the products I use and would recommend on my workshops? I thank you in advance for any assistance you might be able to provide me and I am grateful for the immense information you already did share here.
Hello I am 26 and just hit a huge life crisis wall! I had a great job and was let go out of the blue, with little to no money left for bills and other.. I was scheduled to drive home from Florida to Michigan tomorrow with my boyfriend and he has no idea I have only $400 to my name I have no idea what to do or how to get enough money to get me through this trip.. I already have found a new job but I don’t start until we are back in 10 days ! I feel like I am so underwater!
I don’t know much about this specific company/website, but I looked at them just now and to be honest, it’s not sitting well with me. For starters, I couldn’t even figure out what the whole “business model” was based on. And that’s usually the case with Ponzi or pyramid schemes. I suspect its something along the lines of a pyramid scheme where you make money by bringing in other paid members, but I am not sure.
